David Piatek has spent the last 6 years teaching a variety of courses for NAR and developing CE for the nationwide Real Estate community. David is Senior Vice President at The Federal Savings Bank, where he works with buyers across the country guiding them to becoming homeowners. Recently returning home from an overseas deployment, David has served in the Army National Guard for 12 years and continues to serve today.

Outside of work, David combines his love for the community and commitment to the military by volunteering for various veteran non-profits. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, fishing, breweries, taking road trips across the US, and traveling abroad. 

Thomas Capretta is a Settlement Attorney in the D.C. office of District Title, where he conducts commercial and residential real estate settlements.
Serving in the Army for 5 years, Tom then attended University of Notre Dame where he earned a B.A. in Mathematics followed by a J.D. from the William & Mary Law School. Tom is licensed to practice law in Virginia and began his legal career in a family law and criminal defense practice in Newport News, VA before transitioning to real estate. Tom most recently worked as an attorney-advisor for the Small Business Administration where he assisted in the administration of disaster loans to property owners recovering from natural disasters and economic impacts.

As a D.C. area native he is no stranger to Washington, enjoys long distant cycling, and suffering through Notre Dame football games during his weekends.

Steven Sushner is the President and Founder of District Title, recently becoming a part of MBH Settlement Group, and Sushner, Broullire & Shepard, PLLC. Steve is a lifelong D.C. metro area resident and graduated from The University of Maryland with a B.A. in Government and Politics and a College Park Scholars citation, and then earned a J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America. Steve is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia and  acts as general counsel to local and national real estate brokerages, commercial banks, numerous hard money lenders and real estate developers, particularly for condominium projects in Washington, D.C.

Steve serves on the Council of Advisors for the University of Maryland’s Master’s in Real Estate Development Program where he occasionally guest lecturers for students pursuing their masters’ degrees in real estate development. He previously served as an executive Board Member of District of Columbia LGBT Chamber of Commerce and as an advisory board member for the Washington area Alexander Muss High School in Israel. Outside of his 20 year dedication to building District Title, top ranked title company by Washington Business Journal, Steve is passionate about spending time with his husband and three daughters.
